Around me

Today, while i wandering around my college neighbourhood, i've seen such posters comercialize native college's festival. A bombastic word, such as FESTHO (Festival Tun Hussin Onn; kolej perdana has one, but i forgot the name huhu) and others that sooner will be heard is actually an open day, held by the Student College Council (JKM; Jawatankuasa Kolej Mahasiswa) of residential college. My Kolej Rahman Putra, happily organized one (FIESTRA) and luckily it's a big success to have ASTRO as one of the sponsers. The thing that caught my attention is that, it seem like a war is taking place in here, every collge are hustle to organize such open day and the subprogram is very identical, such as Battle of The Band, Drawing Contest For kids, Islamic Forum etc etc. Mann.. What a boring, they should think of more variety and creative program that would attract the interest of student from other college. In other word, if it's too much of college's open day, clashing date and a week packed with open day stuffs, i might say that student will get bored to participate.

My final project

Last week, my supervisor, Pn Zaiton Mat Isa suggested me a topic according Maths in Fighting Crime (so call Maths In Investigating Crime @ Calculus In Invetigating Crime bla bla). I'm just silent, and when confuse is around me there's no worth for words. Nodding so many times and trying to catch what is exactly meant by "Maths in Fighting Crimes". Herm.. me think alot.. This topic has a wide range, and can be interesting but i dont think that it'll involves 100% Partial Derivatives and other elementary things i learnt in Algebra, it might be more on physics. I guess. To find out about Newton's Law of Cooling bla bla, i wonder who is actually studying this stuff.. That's what i'm going to find out. Who?

Once again after along time, i'm back with some new stuff. Each of them is so meaningful to me, as during this week i've been through my 2nd and 3rd performance with IRFAN. Alhamdulillah, i can control my nerve while on stage. Since i had enough rehearsal and the songs that i was performing is quiet femiliar to me and also the others.

Aug 11th, 2006

My 2nd performance is at Dewan Sultan Iskandar, occasionally on Minggu Kesenian Islam. We're invited by Persatuan Mahasiswa Islam (PMI UTM) to perform 2 songs but we just prepared 1 song and a medley (which comes on the spot). Huh, on the same time, the 1st IRFAN team just leaving for invervarsity Nasyid Competition at MMU Cyberjaya, so we're left like in the middle of no where. Since the manager is out for MMU. Well, the show so far run smoothly, no technical problem, the sound system is undisputed, everything is perfect but the singers themselves encountering problems to tackle with. By the way, the team that representing UTM for nasyid competition proudly won the 2nd place. Congrats to all of them and entirely the The IRFAN's.

Aug 13th, 2006

The 3rd performance is for the consert which includes In-Team, Rabbani and Dimen'c. I would rate this show as 2 tumbs up :) IRFAN is the 1st performer of the night, followed by Dimen'c, In-Team and Rabbani. At-Tahani, Kekanda Inilah Dunianya is the songs that was presented with At-Tahani's performed with the help of our percussionist while the remaining 2 with minus one. Those songs are copyrighted under IRFAN@UTM except At-Tahani, a cover version an arab's group in the far east (which i don't know). After our turn's over, we have some moment to mingle with In-Team and Rabbani while Dimen'c is on stage. We don't hesitate to have pictures with them, i guess we have about 2-3 snaps after we end it with a warm hand shake. Frankly speaking, i'm not a true fan of In-Team, because i dont even know the name of 3 of them, but what tickles me is when i bought a RM3 souvenir card and ask them for to lay signatures on it.. hahahaha

Muziklisasi Gapura Diri with Dato' A Aziz Deraman (Aug 15th, 2006) Organized by Perpustakaan Sultanah Zanariah

I just don't know, why i'm very curiuos to attend this program. Maybe to see the VIPs and to fill in my leasure time during the night. Once again i'm in the Dewan Sultan Iskandar, UTM. The program is sorta bored. The hall is not full, the chair allocated were also not fully occupied, i was asked to full the front seat. It's not a frustrating night, but the attendance of audience is not as expected. The VIPs of the night is Dato' A Aziz Deraman, the author of 'Gapura Diri' (a collection of his poem, published in 2002) and Datuk Profesor Dr. Ir. Zulkifli, the Vice Chancelor of UTM. Luckily, i got an apportunity to appear in a photo of Dato' A Aziz Deraman and Prof Zul, but it's coincidently when they stop by me during making way out of the hall after a student came and ask them to have a picture. Cheeeze :) I got the no. of the boy perhaps i can redeem the pic as soon as possible, it's kinda historic to me.
